What is a 'Shared' SiteRoll?
You can share individual SiteRolls that you create with anyone that you want. (The recipient does not need to register.) If someone sent you a SiteRoll, they have hand-picked each page for you. To access each site, click on each site name and you will see the page the person has shared with you.
Sharing via email: Each SiteRoll comes with a unique url which you can email to other people. With a single click, your colleague can launch your SiteRoll without having to register for the service.
Share via the web: Or, you can tag SiteRolls to be on your Shared SiteRolls page, a web page that's like your own personal web directory.
How much does SiteRoll cost?
Nothing. It's free. You can create up to 29 for free. If SiteRoll helps you and you want to help back, you can donate money.
SiteRoll is also funded by technology licensing.
Does SiteRoll contain ads?
No, SiteRoll doesn't contain a single ad, paid-for link, sponsored item, pop-up ad, or anything where someone has paid a fee to influence you. (Sites you visit might have pop-up ads, but SiteRoll does not add to the problem.) SiteRoll is mainly funded by user donations and by technology licensing.
How do I register?
Join.
Registration is 100% free and there are still no ads, paid-for links, sponsored items, pop-up ads, or anything where someone has paid a fee to influence you.
Does SiteRoll track what sites I visit?
Absolutely not! SiteRoll does not track the sites you visit, when you visit them, or how often. To be able to show you the discreet, ad-free, SiteRoll floating toolbar, you need to list the sites you visit in the SiteRoll database. But, you can permanently delete your sites at any time. (See the SiteRoll Privacy Pledge for more details on privacy.)
What does SiteRoll track?
SiteRoll tracks how often you use each SiteRoll. Why? Your SiteRoll home page displays all of the SiteRolls you have created. By tracking which ones you use, the home page is able to display the ones you visit most at the top of the page.
Does SiteRoll remove the ads from the sites I visit?
No, SiteRoll does nothing to alter the sites you put on your SiteRolls. Not a single bit, byte, or pixel is changed. SiteRoll just saves you time by helping you quickly navigate the sites you visit regularly.
Can SiteRolls be shared?
Yes, you can share SiteRolls. Just email a special URL to a friend or colleague and they'll be able to see the SiteRoll you've created. (See the Sharing SiteRolls Page for more details on sharing.)
Why does SiteRoll require cookies?
SiteRoll uses cookies as part of the log-in process. More about SiteRoll cookies is on the Privacy Pledge.
